We are launching our new wine list this month and we are delighted that in conjunction with Hermitage Cellars we have found some new and interesting wines to introduce to our customers. Like many things the wine world is not without its issues right now, on top of Covid and Brexit, Mother Nature has unfortunately delivered some very difficult growing seasons from New Zealand to Champagne. Sadly this means there maybe well be shortages of certain wine styles such Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but then of course this is just an opportunity to try other wines, after all that is one of the great joys of wine, its almost endless choice of grape varieties and wine regions.

Legaris Verdejo is one of our new wines, a delicious fresh, dry white from Rueda in northern Spain, which will certainly appeal to Sauvignon Blanc drinkers. Staying in Spain we have a new Rioja, Vina Pomal which is wonderful traditional style Rioja which would make a perfect match with Sunday lunch roast leg of lamb. We also have new wines from the Rhone Valley and Chile and with the winter months in mind the new vintage of The Wolftrap Red – a Rhone blend from South Africa – should make the perfect seasonal glass of red. Enjoy.
