The Oystermen then turned their attention the clubs first ever home match against a strong AFC Solent on Sunday 8th May. It was the first time the people of Emsworth got to witness their local side on home soil and they shown up in their numbers as the surroundings of the pitch filled up ahead of kick off. A very intense 45 minutes saw both sides go in level at half time. When the second half kicked off Solent win themselves an early penalty which their own Archie Drury slotted home. Emsworth responded quickly to going 1 down and earned a penalty not long after themselves which Joel Jackson fired into the roof of the net to make the Oystermen level. As all the momentum shifted Emsworth’s way and the Oystermen knocking on the door for another, Solent given away a free kick 25 yards out. Which Joel Jackson again steps up to take it and fires it into the top corner. Solent chasing the game with a never say die attitude as they piled on the pressure for an equaliser. They had a spell of multiple shots off the wood work and they was really giving Emsworth something to worry about. In a very dramatic end to this tie Emsworth conceded a penalty for the second time in the match late in the 86th minute of the match for Solent’s Archie Drury to step up again and hit it home as Solent make it 2-2. Emsworth desperate to give the crowd a first home win, the oystermen are banging on the door in the final stages of the match, and after a good spell by Emsworth, Mauro Morais puts a lovely ball across goal for Joel Jackson to poke in on the back post sees Emsworth score a dramatic late winner in the 91st minute of the match with wild celebrations to match. Final score Emsworth Town 3 AFC Solent 2

After a great hard fought win Emsworth then travelled back to King George to play Fratton Trades on Wednesday 11th. Emsworth had a slow start, the game had a very quiet first half as both teams go in 0-0. Not that I can say that about the second half. 5 minutes after the break Mauro Morais heads it home from the back post. Fratton trades quickly responds two minutes later from a terrible Emsworth defensive error. 1-1. Then 4 minutes after that in the 56th minute Tommy Hedgcock scores an Emsworth penalty to fire us back infront after seeing 3 goals in 6 minutes. Ten minutes after that Emsworth conceded an own goal and were back level, Emsworth struggling with Fratton trades counter attacks and Fratton put themselves infront for the first time of the match scoring 2 goals in 2 minutes. Emsworth make it worse for themselves as they conceded again and made it very hard for ourselves to get back into this game. Abit of brilliance by Braden Collins sees him blast Emsworth one goal away from levelling this match up. Sub Josh De Nils comes on and within a few minutes of being on the pitch he scores his first Emsworth Town goal and puts us level with 10 minutes to go. Emsworth hungry to win this match as the ball falls to Jake Lynch, his shot takes a big deflection and sees the ball fall into the back of the net and the come back is complete for the Oystermen. Another great match win a lot of goals.
Full time score Emsworth Town 5-4 Fratton Trades.
